Most of the below items you can collect at the starting point (Viking Shield, Chinese Sail, Brody's Raft and Rum Barrel). Chests are further in the map and surrounded by several snakes.

There are 2 different piles of sand. Collect the "Suspicious Sand Pile" - when you received Sifters from friends (10). A journal comes out of it.

Join several snakes or lure more snakes to an active snake bait and choose a large place to use the snake poison. (See below, I lure only 2 snakes, but later I brought more. I saved a little my snake bait beating on the snakes when they were there.)
